Student Research Project
Student Research Project is one of the self-directed learning programs that Young Hoon International Middle School has. The project helps students prepare for their future admissions and explore career options. Students will choose a subject related to his/her interest and complete projects during vacations.
For example, one of our awarded students has designed and completed projects such as 'Surface Tension', 'Traffic Accidents', 'Earthquake', 'Modern Physics', and 'Scientific Feedbacks' for three years. He has searched for related experiments, watched videos and read documents for the projects. Also, he found more than 50 reference materials and wrote 80pages of reports. YHIMS believes that all these processes help students conducting in-depth studies and self-directed learning.
Students have been awarded for their works. They also have had presentations in front of fellow students. By giving them credits for what they have achieved, YHIMS encourages students to be confident and responsible.
Student Research Project is not just temporary vacation homework but a set of activities to build students' portfolio and realize their dreams.
