English Immersion Education

Curriculum

Young Hoon's curriculum is the first in Korea to receive accreditation as a Cambridge International School,
enabling us to implement the Cambridge curricula.

Cambridge Accreditation

Young Hoon adopted the 'Cambridge International Curriculum' for its immersion education program, becoming the first private elementary school in Korea to achieve accreditation from Cambridge. This curriculum provides a systematic educational program, enabling students aged 5 to 19 to access globally recognized education from anywhere in the world. Established in 1858, Cambridge programs are implemented in communities across 160 countries and in over 10,000 schools worldwide.

Social Studies Curriculum

Integrated Curriculum

At Young Hoon, we integrate the Cambridge Primary and ESOL curriculums, covering science, social studies, language arts, ICT, 21st-century skills, and math. Through interdisciplinary themes, students explore and apply language skills, ensuring a comprehensive education.

Thematic Learning by Grade Through Module-Based Studies (Theme Studies)

During each 8-week period (module) for every grade, students engage in learning activities using English centered around predetermined thematic units. Throughout each module, students undergo various forms of informal and formal assessment. At the end of each semester, report cards are issued, providing students with feedback on their learning outcomes.

Module Books: Tailored to each grade, books are created by native English teachers. These books feature selected themes aligned with the Cambridge Education curriculum.

STEAM Design Challenges

STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics, with the aim of enhancing students' interest and understanding in science and technology while fostering STEAM literacy and real-life problem-solving skills. Young Hoon's English education prioritizes real-life interactions over exam-oriented English education.

Utilizing textbooks and activity sheets structured around S.T.E.A.M.-based learning content.

Young Hoon Reading Challenge Program

Students read recommended fiction and nonfiction books in English and then write book reports, which fosters reading habits and leads to an English book reading certification.
